I've been thinking about de-blinging the front end of the car for a while.
Also I had to remove my Euro plates and re-fit the standard NZ ones because the Euro plates are technically illegal :(
I wasn't happy with the half red, half black background to the plate - it looked messy. So this was my solution

Then I moved on to the grille.
It can be un-clipped from the car by carefully prising the tabs at the back with a screwdriver.
Once removed I sanded it with wet and dry paper and applied two coats of plastic primer followed by five coats of matt black.




Here are the results:














I'm awaiting a new badge to finish things off.
