
N249 System Removal
The N249 system allows the ECU to open the diverter valve if it wants to. The DV is a mechanical system that does the same job, and removing it can smooth out the power delivery, as well as tidying up the engine bay and removing a few more air pipes.
It's coloured in yellow on the following diagram. I've already removed the SAI system, coloured red and dark blue.

I bypassed the system by connecting the DV directly to the underneath of the inlet manifold here:
After removal
This is what I removed
I then re-routed the DV relocation pipe to tidy things up, shortening it by about 12cm. This meant I was able to refit the engine cover
So after removing the SAI, N112 and N249 the current state of my engine is like this:
